Do I need an account?
No. Type your name and start. You get a private link that opens your jamiyas on any phone or computer. Whenever you like, keep your account with a username and password from Profile.
Is Jamiya free?
Yes. The free plan covers a family: two jamiyas at a time, up to 20 members each, with member links, drawing lots and exports. We take no cut of the jamiya money. See pricing.
Does the app hold the money?
No. The Jamiya app keeps records only. Members pay each other the way you agree, and the organizer records every contribution and payout.
Does every member need the app?
No. The organizer can keep the records for everyone. Members who want to can open their personal link and see only their own turn and payments, without an account.
How do we decide the turn order?
Arrange it yourself, or draw lots for a fair random order everyone sees. Read the turn order guide.
Is a jamiya halal?
Most members of Saudi Arabia's Council of Senior Scholars permitted it, as did Ibn Baz and Ibn Uthaymeen; Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan disagreed. Read the ruling with sources.
What does a member see on their personal link?
Their turn, what they owe, and their own payments only. Not other members' payments, and not who is late.
What does the family link show?
The schedule: turns, dates and amounts. It never shows receipts or who is late.
I lost my private link. What now?
If you are signed in on any device, open Profile and ask for a new link (it stops the old one), then keep your account with a username and password. If the link is lost, the account was never saved and no device is signed in, we cannot recover it. So save your account on day one.
Do amounts show on the lock screen?
No. In the iPhone and Android apps (in testing now), lock-screen reminders show no names or amounts. Inside the app you see the full details.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
It works now in the browser on any phone or computer at app.jamiya.om. The iPhone and Android apps are in testing.

How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile and use Delete account at the bottom. This deletes your account and every jamiya nobody else shares with you.
