How it works

From your name to the first payout in four steps. You do not need an account to start.

1. Start with your name

Open Jamiya and type your name. An account is made at once, with a private 10-character link that opens your jamiyas on any device. Keep it to yourself, and keep your account with a username and password so it is never lost.

2. Add members and amounts

Type the members, the monthly amount for each, and the day of the month for payments and for the payout. Amounts can differ between members.

• A member who pays double can take two turns, or one bigger turn.
• Two members can share one turn, each with their own part of the payout.
• Before you start, the app checks every turn is fully covered and every member receives exactly what they pay.

3. Set the turn order or draw lots

Drag names into order, or tap "Draw lots" for a fair random order. Then publish the plan to the family. Each member accepts their version, and any later change makes a new version.

4. Send the links and record payments

Every member has a short personal link like jamiya.om/K7M4QX that you send on WhatsApp. It shows their turn, what they owe, and their own payments only. They can accept the plan and tell you they paid.

You record every contribution and payout. The overview shows payouts made, money in hand, and who is late and since when.

What the app does not do

• It does not hold or move money. You pay each other the way you agree.
• It does not show the family who is late. The family link shows the schedule only; only the organizer sees late payments.
• In the iPhone and Android apps (in testing now), lock-screen reminders show no names or amounts.
