Workplace jamiya
A jamiya among colleagues is common across Oman and the Gulf. Its rules differ a little from a family jamiya.
Choosing the organizer
Pick someone everyone trusts who will stay until the jamiya ends. A co-organizer can follow up when they are away.
Amount and payment day
Set the payment day two or three days after salaries arrive, and the payout day after it. Choose an amount that suits the smallest salary in the group.
Privacy among colleagues
Being late in front of colleagues is awkward. In Jamiya each colleague sees only their own turn and payments on their personal link, and only the organizer sees who is late.
When someone moves job
Agree at the start: someone who leaves before their turn gets back what they paid at the end; someone who leaves after their turn keeps paying. Write it into the agreement template.
More than one jamiya at the company
If you organize more than two, Pro gives you one dashboard for all of them and a PDF report for each.
