Jamiya agreement template
A short written agreement saves many arguments. Copy this template and adjust it for your jamiya.
The template
- Jamiya name: ______. Organizer: ______.
- Members: ___. Monthly amount per member: OMR ___.
- Payment day: the ___ of each month. Payout day: the ___ of each month.
- How to pay: bank transfer or cash to the organizer, as agreed.
- Turn order: as in the attached schedule, set by (agreement / drawing lots).
- Late payment: the organizer reminds the member in private. If the pot is short on payout day, what arrived is paid out and the rest follows when it arrives.
- Leaving: a member who leaves before their turn gets back what they paid at the end of the jamiya. A member who leaves after their turn keeps paying until the end.
- Changes: any change to amounts or order needs every member to agree.
- Records: the organizer records every contribution and payout, and each member can see their own record.

Why the leaving term matters
Leaving after your turn means the others paid for you and were not paid back. Write the rule before you start, not after the problem.
Why every change needs everyone
Changing an amount or the order changes what each member pays and receives. In Jamiya every member accepts each version of the plan, so the agreement stays clear.
